Description:Clarence, NY 14031*Must have reliable transportation*Pay Rate: $17-21/hour**Sign-On Bonus $1200**After the completion of one year of serviceJob Summary for Material Handler:Loads, unloads and moves materials/products within the facility for prompt and accurate access to shipping and/or production based upon the needs of the company and the customer.Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Material Handler:Operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, cranes, hoists, and pallet jack to load, unload, transport, or stack material.Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be movedNon-essential Duties for Material Handler:Follows all safety proceduresMaintain vehicles in good working condition.Communicate with others to coordinate material handling or movement.Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Material Handler:Able to work under pressureAble to follow directions preciselyMust be certified to operate forklift and drive in a safe manner.Must possess valid unrestricted driver's licenseExperience and Education for Material Handler:High School Diploma or GED1 - 2 years manufacturing experienceEquivalent combination of education and experience.Special Requirements for Material Handler:Machine shop work environment; dust, grease and metal shavings common.Requires the use of the following personal protective equipment:safety glasses, steel toed shoes/boots.Must be able to:Work safely in a fast paced environmentWork overtime, including weekends as requestedOther Duties for Material Handler:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
