Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: /n SMH Level 4 RN OR - SMH : L4RN : OR RN /n/n Job Details: /n • Work Day/Evening/Night rotating shift schedule /n• On-call/callback responsibilities required /n• Floating assignments per unit needs /n• Holiday and weekend coverage per unit requirements /n• Provide care for wide variety of surgical patients across multiple specialties /n• Work with specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma /n• Operate in Level 1 trauma center environment /n• Utilize 2 DaVinci robots used by multi-services /n• Support transplant program involving livers, kidneys, and hearts /n• Must be able to scrub and circulate /n• New York state RN license required (NY license ONLY) /n• Two years operating room experience required, Level 1 trauma preferred /n• BLS certification required (American Heart Association ONLY) /n• ACLS certification preferred /n• Preferred experience with specialty cases (transplants, plastics, reconstructive), craniotomy procedures, and strong orthopedic background /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center serves as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive surgical services across numerous specialties.
