– Bio Behavioral Health Unit Location: Syracuse, NY 13210 Duration:
13 Weeks Pay Rate: $28–$34 per hour Shifts Available: Mid Shift:
5x8-Hour (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (11:00 AM – 7:30
PM) Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking
experienced Mental Health Therapy Aides (MHTs) to support a Bio
Behavioral Health Unit in an acute inpatient setting. This role
involves providing both direct and indirect patient care under
nursing supervision. Candidates must have psychiatric experience;
pediatric experience is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff
Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output Assist with
admissions, documentation, and physical examinations Collect
specimens and transport patients as needed Orient patients to unit
routines, expectations, and safety guidelines Assist patients with
activities of daily living (ADLs) and hygiene Build therapeutic
relationships and engage patients in structured activities Apply
age-appropriate psychological and clinical interventions Respond to
crisis situations and ensure patient safety Perform routine safety
checks and maintain documentation Maintain a safe and therapeutic
environment Accurately observe, document, and communicate patient
responses Participate in unit activities and support nursing
operations Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
effectively Qualifications Psychiatric experience required
Pediatric experience preferred Minimum 1 year of experience
required (2 years preferred) Prior inpatient behavioral health
experience preferred Current CPR certification required For more
