Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – Rochester, New YorkStart Date: March 3, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 4x12 Days, 0700-1900, every other weekend required Highlights: 26-bed specialized cardiac unit focused on post-PCI, pacemaker/AICD patients, post-MI care, and cardiac pharmacological interventions 528-bed tertiary care hospital utilizing Epic electronic medical records Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 providing optimal care environment 12-hour orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy Opportunity to work with complex cardiac and medical-surgical patient populations in a high-acuity setting 13-week travel assignment with extensive skills development in cardiac monitoring and emergency response Requirements: Active New York RN license required in hand prior to submission Minimum 1-2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience Previous travel nursing experience required Prior charge nurse experience required Epic charting system experience mandatory Current BLS certification required Experience with patient ratios up to 1:6 Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, respiratory care, and isolation precautions Limited requests for time off considered; maximum 10 days RTO allowed during contract Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to expand your cardiac nursing expertise in a well-established tertiary care environment that values clinical excellence and collaborative patient care.
