Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Level II Registered Nurse - Stepdown/PCU Experience Required Job Description The Level II Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the RN assumes an expanded role that may include responsibilities as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member. This role requires a focus on clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and adherence to evidence-based practices. Responsibilities - Provide care in high acuity settings, specifically focusing on stroke and neurosurgery patients. - Perform neuro checks, manage EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, and cardene drips. - Administer arterial lines and assist in procedures such as carotid endarterectomy and aneurysm coil/clips. - Support patients undergoing DBS Insertion and VP shunt placements. - Respond to seizure incidents and maintain telemetry monitoring. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - MUST HAVE Stepdown/PCU experience with at least two (2) years in a similar role. - Current RN License (only valid New York licenses accepted). - BLS certification from the American Heart Association required. - Telemetry experience is mandatory; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred. Schedule This position requires a rotating shift schedule consisting of 3x12 hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities. Why ARMStaffing?
