Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Day/evening patient ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7), night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in) • Every other weekend required • Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units • 4 hours of orientation provided • 1 year of recent experience required • Required certifications: BLS • Must have Epic charting experience as hard requirement • New York license required in hand to submit • Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Experience with rapid response team activation required • Peripheral line care and management experience needed • Non-invasive airway management skills required • Must follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols • Manage amiodarone drip administration • Work with special equipment including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow oxygen, ventilators, tracheostomies, and chest tubes • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, and sepsis • Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white • RTO limited to maximum 1 week per contract • Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours) Facility: This healthcare facility operates an 18-room, 19-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 19 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. Patient care technicians assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living, while an in-house phlebotomy team handles peripheral lab draws.
