Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: NY License required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Ability to take a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in MedSurg - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills Description: Must have NY license in hand - no exceptions. Specialty: MedSurg RN. Shift: 4x12 Nights. Weekend: Every other weekend. First-time traveler accepted. Locals must be within 75-mile radius. Patients require continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. We care for patients needing airway management and acute support. Management of dysrhythmias is required. Patient care services vary depending on individual needs. The team adapts quickly, providing compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach. Patient population consists of adult, acute care patients. All patients receive specialized care not available in general medical-surgical units. The daily census is approximately 17. Unit staffing includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Isolation precautions must be maintained. Support from interdisciplinary teams is available.
