Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled Radiologic Technologist is needed for a contract position based in Warren, MI. Under the direction of a Radiologist, this role involves performing radiologic procedures essential for diagnosing pathological conditions as ordered by physicians. The technologist utilizes independent judgment to select appropriate radiographic techniques, ensure patient safety, and achieve high-quality imaging results. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and explain examination procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding. Review clinical data and patient medical history to perform accurate radiologic exams. Set up and maintain procedure rooms, including replenishing supplies. Operate radiologic equipment manually to capture diagnostic images, applying patient immobilization when necessary. Administer intravenous contrast media if required, monitor patient reactions, and provide immediate care if needed. Implement radiation protection standards to minimize exposure through shielding and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) techniques. Prepare sterile equipment when necessary and adhere to infection control protocols. Maintain patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality according to legal and ethical standards. Complete all documentation accurately in both patient records and radiology systems (PACS and RIS). Educate new hires and students as needed while managing daily responsibilities. Collaborate with radiologists to confirm clinical protocols prior to conducting studies. Uphold professional communication, demonstrate a positive attitude, respect diversity, and foster innovation within the team. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Technologist. Proficiency with radiologic imaging techniques and equipment. Knowledge of intravenous contrast administration and patient monitoring. Experience navigating PACS and RIS systems for imaging documentation.
