Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,765 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/10/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Rochester, New York, 14621! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: New York license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Description: Must have a New York license in hand - no exceptions. Shift: 4x12 Nights. Weekend coverage: Every other weekend. First-time travelers accepted. Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius. Special requirement includes the ability to take a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg. Experience with arterial lines or vasopressor titration is necessary. Charting system: Must have EPIC experience. Skills required in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates must have experience with rapid response/code teams, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management. Responsibilities include the use of nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management. Understanding and implementation of isolation precautions is required. The unit has 26 beds. The unit is dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence-based care to patients. Patients are received from various areas, including emergency departments and intensive care units. Care focuses on adult acute care patients needing specialized support. All patients have continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. Care includes management of various invasive lines and titrated medicated IV infusions. The nursing team adapts quickly, remains vigilant, and provides compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach. The facility has a total of 528 staffed beds.
