Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – New York Start Date:

Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 13-week
assignment; every other weekend required; day/evening shifts 5:1
ratios (stretch 6-7:1), night shifts 6-7:1 ratios (stretch 8-10:1)
Highlights: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 20-bed capacity
specializing in cardiac and stroke patients Epic charting system
with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams,
phlebotomy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams PCT
support on all units for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs,
and activities of daily living Float opportunities within scope to
MS, ICU, and ED units 4-hour orientation with up to 5 hours of
billable pre-start modules First-time travelers welcome with a
minimum of 1 year recent experience Requirements: Active New York
RN license required in hand prior to submission BLS and NIHSS
certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience Epic charting experience
strongly preferred Competency in interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias Experience with peripheral line care/management,
oxygen administration (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks),
and non-invasive airway management Proficiency with isolation
precautions/PPE and rapid response team activation Experience with
special equipment including Hoyer lifts Willingness to float within
scope to similar units as needed Must reside more than 75 miles
