Job Title: ICU Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Straight nights only Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Two years of ICU experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS & NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: Travel experience required; EPIC experience preferred Description: Seeking an experienced ICU nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday. Floating to other units is expected as part of the role. The position requires expertise in managing acute conditions such as pulmonary embolism, sepsis, COVID, hypothermia, hyponatremia, subdural hematoma, COPD, and hypertension. Experience with ECMO, LVAD, Impella, CRRT, IABP, intubation/LMA, arterial blood gases, blood product administration, rapid infusion, chest tubes, thoracotomy procedures, biphasic defibrillators, NGT/OGT/lavage, restraints, G-tube/PEG tube feedings and medications, arterial lines, and central lines is essential. Candidates should be aware that the facility may call off up to three shifts during the 13-week contract and two shifts for contracts less than 13 weeks. An eight-hour non-billable orientation will be required prior to commencing work.
