find a qualified Psych RN in Rochester, New York, 14642! Pay
Information $60 to $63 per hour About The Position The role
requires a nurse with Med-Surg experience to conduct intake
assessments through interviews with patients and their families,
gathering case history. The nurse will plan and provide care, make
nursing diagnoses regarding the medical and emotional status of
patients, and recommend treatment options. The nurse will also
collaborate with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to
design treatment plans, administer psychotropic medications, and
monitor patient reactions. Additional duties include assisting
patients in understanding emotional disturbances, ensuring a safe
environment, managing pain, and arranging further medical attention
when needed. The nurse will document all patient information,
follow physicians' orders, maintain patient confidentiality, and
keep accurate records of treatments, immunizations, and lab
results. Administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones,
typing, and completing progress notes are also part of the role.
