RN Weekend Warrior

SHIFT: 6 am - 10 pm, Weekends

STARTING RATE: $33/hr. ($33.00 - $36.00/hr., dependent on experience)

As a Weekend Warrior, you would work 32 hours weekly and get paid for 40! You must work two 16hrs shifts, either Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday.

  A Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care and assessment to long-term and rehabilitation residents. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides high-quality daily nursing care and services to each assigned resident through the resident's assessment and care plan.
  
  RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with the RN Supervisor to ensure the best possible functions of the assigned unit
  • Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Prepares administers, and records prescribed medications
  • Records patients' medical information and vital signs
  • Assesses the patient's ability to do routine daily tasks
  • Recognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory, and pain problems
  • Prepares equipment and aids the physician during the examination and treatment of the patient
  • Communicate with family members regarding the patient
  • Records all care information concisely, accurately, and entirely, promptly, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms
  • Provide direct care and treatment to long-term and rehabilitation residents
  • Provide assessment and documentation of residents under their care
  • Initiates and administers Intravenous treatments
  • Communicate with the Nursing team and Medical team as appropriate
  • Review and Evaluate the resident care plan
  • Transcribes Physician orders
  • May assist in orientating new staff
  • Maintains competency in all site-specific tasks required by the facility
  • Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting REQUIREMENTS:
    • Degree from an accredited school of nursing
    • A current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York requires
    • Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
    • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
    • Strong customer service skills and compassion
