Job Description Job Description Overview Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a skilled Refrigeration Technician in Buffalo, NY. The Refrigeration Mechanic/Technician is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Technician will require a high level of proficiency and knowledge working on Thermo King and Carrier Reefer units, PMs, and A/C. Note you must have Reefer maintenance and diagnostic experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer and an EPA 608 certificate Due to the nature of the repair flow, could repair some Trailers (DOT Inspections and Repairs) if all Reefer Units are in working condition. Compensation: $40 - $50 per Hour, DOE - Paid weekly, every Friday! Shift: Tuesday - Friday 2:00PM-10:30PM & Saturday, 8:00AM-4:30PM (40 hours minimum) The benefits of belonging – what’s in it for you? Experience with PMs and A/C Must have valid Drivers License- Class C Must provide own hand tools & toolbox. Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Working Conditions: Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
