Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled
Cost Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in
Warren, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone with a strong
background in cost accounting and exceptional organizational
abilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate
project billings and maintaining clear communication with internal
teams and external clients. Responsibilities: • Ensure timely and
accurate preparation of weekly and monthly project billings. •
Collaborate with various internal teams to identify and account for
all project costs. • Communicate with clients to justify and
explain project-related expenses. • Maintain detailed and
well-organized records for all billing and cost-related activities.
• Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with project budgets
and cost standards. • Monitor and evaluate costs associated with
ongoing projects to maximize revenue opportunities. • Provide
detailed cost analysis and reporting to support decision-making. •
Utilize expertise in cost accounting principles to enhance billing
accuracy and efficiency. • Address discrepancies or issues in
billing and propose solutions to resolve them. • Ensure adherence
to industry standards and company policies in all cost accounting
activities. • Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in
construction or manufacturing industries. • Strong knowledge of
standard cost accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in
cost analysis and financial reporting. • Exceptional organizational
and detail-oriented skills. • Ability to effectively communicate
with internal teams and external clients. • Familiarity with
project-based billing processes, AIA Billing is a must • Advanced
proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools. • Strong
problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while
meeting deadlines.
